Work has been progressing on bed building in the Learning Garden. Below are the pictures to prove it.

May 25 planting the learning garden at 2:00PM Saturday. June – Cathy F is doing more on spring and summer care of Dahlia plants along with insects. July – Teresa T and Lynn will do something on bouquets and cut flowers Aug.- Staging, and it will be held at Phils garden Sept.- Parlour Show  

One of the many great things about our society is the opportunity to learn pretty much whatever you care to about dahlias; from how they are grown to how to show them and judge them! Many thanks to Connie Young-Davis for hosting this event and providing a delicious dinner afterwards!!!

Here are some instructions for taking your tubers from storage (or purchase) to growing in your garden. In March, check on your stored tubers. Remove any that are rotted or have mildew.
